In 1970, the BBC broadcast the TV special, Elton John in Concert. The show featured impressive live renditions of songs that would go on to become classics from Elton’s music catalogue, including a version of ‘Burn Down The Mission’. Pure McCartney contains a recording of a one-off tribute concert at Vega in Copenhagen in celebration of Sir Paul McCartney's 70th birthday that day. The set list includes the 1971 McCartney album Ram, which is the favorite album of Christensen and Viola, as well as several post-Beatles songs. Vega's large concert hall, with a capacity of 1500, was sold out. The artwork was inspired by Ram. The concert movie also features interviews and a documentary behind the scenes.

One of the “big three” contemporary jazz guitarists (with the other two being Pat Metheny and Bill Frisell), Scofield has worked with some of the greats of jazz throughout his career, including Charles Mingus, Gerry Mulligan, Chet Baker, and Miles Davis. His own music is an eclectic amalgamation of post-bop, fusion, funk, and soul jazz that has even found him working with such far flung artists as Soul Coughing and Sex Mob.
